What's New for the 2021 Jeep Cherokee?

If you are looking for a car to take you to all the places you want to go, the 2021 Jeep Cherokee is your answer. The Jeep Cherokee is a charismatic SUV with outstanding performance credentials and superior off-road handling and capabilities. The Jeep Cherokee has made a name for itself in the Jeep SUV lineup as a vehicle that has the performance and handling capabilities required to tackle the trails while keeping everyone comfortable and entertained with its plush and tech-savvy interior. There have always been many customization options for the Cherokee as well, this year brings the same with even more packages and amenities available. Safety features that were previously just optional for the Jeep Cherokee are now standard across the lineup.

In 2021, the Jeep Cherokee returns with the same trim levels as before, and a new option called the Latitude Lux. The first trim level is still the Latitude, which is equipped with 17-inch wheels with a polished alloy finish. Roof rails and rain-sensing wipers are also part of the exterior package. The interior has split-folding bench seats in the back. Technology includes Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, with the seven-inch display upgraded to an 8.4-inch display with higher-end trims. You'll get six speakers for the entry-level audio system. The Latitude Plus is ready for driving in all conditions with fog lights and a de-icer for the wipers. Its interior upgrades including heated seats, remote start, keyless entry, and a push-button start. This trim also has a satellite radio for enhanced audio. Leather seats come with the new Latitude Lux, along with a more powerful engine. The Trailhawk brings all-terrain tires and a larger infotainment screen, while the Limited has bigger tires, a premium sound system, leather seats, and dual-zone climate control.

The engine and powertrain options vary across the Cherokee lineup in 2021. The base engine has four cylinders and a 2.4L displacement. This engine achieves up to 180 HP and just a notch over 170 LB-FT of torque. It gets an automatic nine-speed transmission. A more powerful V6, capable of 271 HP, and an even stronger 2.0L turbo capable of 295 LB-FT in torque are available, starting with the Latitude Lux and up. Front-wheel drive is the Cherokee's standard drivetrain on all trims but the Trailhawk, which has standard four-wheel drive. Four-wheel drive is offered on the others.
