Welcome Back the Wagoneer!

The Jeep Wagoneer was a popular vehicle for its 30 year run as a family-sized station wagon with comfortable cabin space and generous room for cargo. These features combined with its stylish wooden siding made it a common sight on the highway. The last time the Wagoneer name has been seen was as a Grand Cherokee trim, but now Jeep is bringing the name back. The new Jeep Wagoneers are expected to release in late 2018, and will sit at the top of Jeep's line of luxury SUVs.

The new Grand Wagoneer will represent the "pinnacle of premium", says Jeep brand boss Mike Manley. The Grand Wagoneer will sit above the current Jeep MVP, the Jeep Grand Cherokee, when it is released. Rumors have it that the new Grand Wagoneer will share the same underpinnings as FCA's full-size Dodge Durango, and will retain the nameplate's iconic wooden siding along with luxury interiors and modern technology for the cabin.
