Serving Grand Rapids, MN

RAM has been offering drivers reliable, powerful trucks for a long time. For 2019, both the RAM 1500 and RAM 2500 represent excellent options for those in the market for a pickup. The RAM 1500 even won Truck Trend's Pickup Truck of the Year award. Which one is right for you depends on how you plan on using it. Let's take a look at a summary of the ways these trucks are the same as well as the ways they are different.

Performance

These two trucks have very different powertrain options for 2019. For the RAM 1500, drivers have three robust options to choose from. First up is the 3.6L Pentastar V6 with eTorque which will give drivers 305-horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque. Next up on the list is a 5.7L HEMI V8. With this, drivers will get up to 395-horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque. There is also a version of this engine that was the eTorque feature, which adds 130 lb-ft of torque.

Drivers who choose to go with the 2019 RAM 2500 will get two options as far as what lives underneath the hood. Those who are looking for more horsepower should go with the 6.4L HEMI V8 because it generates 410-horsepower and 429 lb-ft of torque. If you are someone more concerned with torque, go with the 6.7L Cummins Turbo Diesel I6 because it produces 370-horsepower and 810 lb-ft of torque.

Appearance

Both of these trucks look very similar, with the 2500 being more extensive than the 1500. The 2500 is sporting a new look for 2019. There are six different prominent grilles available, depending on options selected. These trucks are available in the eye-catching exterior paint colors. Options include Granite Crystal Metallic, Maximum Steel, Delmonico Red, and Patriot Blue.

Features

One of the best exterior features offered by both of these trucks is the RAMBOX Cargo Management System. This feature, available on certain trim levels, gives you a 115-volt outlet and LED lighting inside your cargo boxes. You can even access them remotely with your key fob. Both trucks also offer drivers a power release tailgate. Both vehicles offer over 100 standard and available safety/security features to ensure you and the people and things that matter are protected.
